Take a stitch Tuesday Raised Cross Stitch Flower


Love this stitch!  I stitched directly to a cq block even though it was the first time trying this stitch.  It looked easy to do and reminded me of making that children's craft called a gods eye.  I made loads of them when I was a child.  I also added the woven detached chain stitch.  I need to finish adding that stitch to the rest of the flowers.  Thanks to Sharon B at http://pintangle.com/ for all the instructions!

    Yes, this is an easy but stunning stitch, and as you say, it is very similar to the God's Eye stitch.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
