Take a Stitch Tuesday

This is the Rice stitch which I understand is a canvas stitch.  Sharon B at http://pintangle.com/ shows the different variations of this stitch and recommends using waste canvas when stitching onto a crazy quilt/regular fabric.  Okay, so I am always the rebel and just went straight to stitching onto my fabric without using the waste canvas.  I honestly don't care if my stitches are perfect.  I like the irregularity as it has a more organic feel to me.

  1. These are great - its nice to see them irregular - of course you could increase the irregularity by having a totally offside foundation cross too

  2. You have done a great job stitching without waste canvas! I agree these stitches could be used in free form as well as the more controlled canvas work.
