Take a stitch Tuesday

Sharon B at http://pintangle.com/ shows how to do the beaded Vandyke stitch this week.  I have to admit that I didn't remember how to do the Vandyke stitch and had to go back and practice.  I showed it in the bottom photo as I really liked how it looked with the variegated thread.  The beaded stitch is in the top photo, obviously.  I think the bead I used is too large so I am not terribly happy with it.

Comments

  1. Trust you to be quick to test the new stitch!
The Vandyke stitch is very beautiful in itself so maybe a smaller bead will be best.
I had a look at some other beaded Vandyke stitches and they reminded me of Buttonhole... so I will need to try this stitch out myself as soon as possible.

  2. I quite like the bead size as it blends well with the background.
