Take a stitch Tuesday


The beaded buttonhole stitch is quite simple and deserves more exploration.  I am quite comfortable with the buttonhole stitch so I dove right in and applied the beaded version to a seam on my crazy quilt, top photo.  I also wanted to try something slightly different so I tried the wheel buttonhole stitch with beads.  It will take some practice to get that one to be an even circle.  I will definitely be doing some more exploring with this stitch.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
