Take a stitch Tuesday

The Woven Trellis stitch is in the upper left of this piece.  Sharon B at /http://pintangle.com/ gives the instructions for it.  I really like the woven stitches but I should know better than to do them on a needle felted base.  The fuzzies tend to get caught in the stitch.  I really want to do some more of this stitch on other pieces.

    A trick for working on woven stitches - slip a piece of stiff paper or plastic between the threads and the fabric. The needle will glide on the slippery surface making the work very easy. Have a look here:

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
