Take a Stitch Tuesday

Sharon B at http://pintangle.com/2014/09/23/take-a-stitch-tuesday-131-beaded-lock-stitch/ shares instructions for the Beaded Lock Stitch.  I am a sucker for beads so I love this stitch.  I used Petite Very Velvet thread by Rainbow Gallery.  It is fairly thick thread and I was delightfully surprised how easy it was to stitch with it.

    It looks great. Some velvet, chenille and similar threads LOOK thick but are actually very thin in the core. It is wonderful to make complex looking stitches with such easy to use threads.
    The blueberry fabric makes my mouth water!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
