Take a stitch Tuesday


You can find the instructions for Fern stitch from Sharon B at http://pintangle.com/2014/10/14/take-a-stitch-tuesday-134-fern-stitch/ This is a simple stitch but it looks good!  I found it quite easy to learn and I look forward to using it more.  My first attempt is in the top photo.   My second attempt is the lower photo.  I added some French knots but need to add some more.

    The Fern stitch is simple but striking! I especially like it on your top photo against that beautiful background, but it is also MADE for adding French knots and beads or other stitches. I hope you have a lot of fun with this stitch.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
