A couple of journal pages


I joined a journal prompt group.  Not sure why.  I usually don't like them but this one seemed doable.  Turns out that I really like the prompts and they are kind of fun.  Top photo I used a calendar page printed on a transparency.  The prompt was to use a calendar page so I did just that and added a piece of a photo and some colored tape.  All of the backgrounds in this journal are scraps, over sprayed papers etc.

The second photo is for the prompt to use feet in some way on a journal page.  I wasn't terribly excited about this one at first.  But then I thought of shoes and that got me excited!  Love shoes!  Have a massive collection of shoes!  Used to manage a shoe store.  Now I want to do a bunch of journal pages about shoes!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
