Playing with surface design

Here is a corner of some silk that I printed/painted this week.  I was experimenting with Inktense blocks and some inks.  Sorry for the wrinkles, no time to iron!  I am pleased with the way the leaf turned out.  I think I will need to do some further experiments.

    The blue/green background and the wrinkles make me think of an autumnal leaf that is floating on the pond. Great work, Angela.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
