Take a stitch Tuesday

Thanks to Sharon B for the instruction for the Open Base Needlewoven Picot stitch.  It has been ages since I have done it so a bit rusty.  I liked the idea of the flower better than the way it turned out.  I really like the stitch but did find it difficult to get the petals even.  Definitely I need more practice.

    It is a difficult stitch to get even, but it IS nice for flowers and leaves. I like the little ear I always get at the top!

    The flower came out very well. I know how difficult it is to get the correct shape. But your work looks neat and nice.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
