Fabric Journal

I am loving the way this page turned out.  The journal was constructed with the pages sewn together.  That means the I that all my work is being done on the surface.  I have the enjoyed the challenge.  I applied oil pastels through a hand cut stencil.  I glued on the little paper leaves.  It was quite simple to do.

    I used to live in western NY where fall was filled with color. I now live in a desert in southern NM and fall is.... green. And brown. Your journal is beautiful. Thanks for bringing back some nice memories.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
