Week 49 Journal challenge

And suddenly you just know it's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.  I enjoy starting something new.  Possibilities seem endless when you are starting something new.  Sticking with something when the newness has worn off isn't quite as much fun.  Over the years I have learned to persist and stick with it.  There is a certain pleasure in seeing a job finished.  I have definitely become better at finishing and also not starting something new when it is likely I won't be able to finish it.

  1. This is something one has to learn from experience. The excitement of starting something new is there by itself, and the pride and joy of having seen a project through are also natural feelings, but to control what to start or not, and to persevere until something is completed needs training. This is something that children need time to understand - explaining to them why it is a good thing to never give up, that doing homework and staying on a boring course will pay off in the end.
Your journal challenge give me much to think about!
