Progress on my Bead Journal

The body of the candle is finished.  I plan to do the the flame in gold beads.  These are not typical colors for me.  It is good for me to try something different even if it doesn't make me quite as happy.  I have come to like this even though there was a stage where I did NOT like it at all.  I am glad that I have persisted thus far.

    There is always a learning curve and a 'development' curve. Isn't it nice to see how one's attitude towards a thing changes?

    It's fun to see what we create when we push ourselves way beyond our comfort zone. The candle is lovely and I can't wait to see the finished piece.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
