Take a Stitch Tuesday

Sharon B. shows us the Woven Cross Stitch this week.  I tried it with silk ribbon.  It looks okay, how bad can anything be when done with silk ribbon!

    The ribbon lies quite flat on this stitch so you can see the 'thread' is ribbon. Other stitches make the ribbon 'pop up' and create a 3D ornaments ( could be made of braiding or crocheted or...)

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
