Journal Week #34

The prompt this week was friendship.  At first, I was a bit stuck.  I have some wonderful friends.  What could I say about them?  But then I thought about man's best friend.  I know cliche but I am nuts about dogs.  Doing a journal page about the best dog ever, Farley, was a pleasure.  He took a piece of my heart when he passed almost two years ago.  I still miss him.

    What a sweet face! Adorable is the word.
    A dog that is being treated well, could certainly be Man's Best and Most Loyal Friend. The sad thing with pets is that we often outlive them, and have to accept the fact that they pass away before us, leaving a huge hole in our hearts.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
