Slow Stitching

I am calling this stitching done for now.  In a certain way I enjoyed stitching this but mostly I lost interest in it.  I think I need my stitching to be something not just random.  I definitely prefer to fill in a shape or create a mandala.  I am looking forward to starting a different project for November.

  1. When I looked at this energetic and 'full-of-movement' piece of embroidery I thought I was looking at my own sampler I worked on last night. It has the same shade fabric, circles, lines, crosses of various kinds...I will show my result on Friday.
Don't give up on this, you can still add something with structure, a patch with beads, an orderly Mandala in a corner. Just shelve it for now and take it out later.

  2. Maybe you would like it more if you added beads to it?
Or layered it with batting and added some hand quilting texture?
I like it's beautiful and I love the blue background!
