Journal Week #49

The prompt this week was simply festive.  I wish I would have used better paper to create this page but I had a lot of fun playing and creating this.  The quote I used says 'At Christmas, the light of each of us helps light the night with another kind of luminosity: all so much silver and moonlight mixed in with strings of dancing Christmas lights.'  Timothy Dudley-Smith

    Lovely, but unusual Christmas colours.
    The quote, I think, is true in most cases - people often become kind and generous at Christmas time. Unfortunately, many people are left alone, when friends and neighbors all go to see family. It is not easy being single, widowed, child- or friendless at times like Thanksgiving and Christmas when it is a tradition for families to gather.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
