The Circle My Favorite Shape

I learned a new technique to make mandalas.  Using a permanent metallic marker acts as a resist.  You get a batik feel using this technique.  I am having so much fun with it!  I have been making at least one per day this week.  They look fabulous and I definitely want to take them further.  Even though they are made with coffee filters the paper is very durable and will take some stitch.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
