Playing with the romantic

Normally I gravitate toward bright and cheerful colours.  Every once in a while I feel the need to play with soft, romantic colour schemes.  I found a vintage wooden spool and decided to create a scroll book with it.  Vintage laces, velvet and quotes from old books will fill this book.

    We all have our preferences, but it is refreshing to do things 'outside one's box' from time to time.
    You have some rich fabric and trimmings there.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
