Work in Progress Wednesday

  I used permanent markers and rubbing alcohol to create this.  It is such a fun technique and rather serendipitous.   This definitely looks better from a distance.  I was tempted to start over because I didn't like the way some of the colours bled into others.  However, I think once I add some embroidery and quilting to it that will help.

    I think the bleeding will look fine together with scattered beads and the puffiness that quilting gives.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
