Take a Stitch Tuesday

When I first saw the Half Chevron Stitch this week I thought, 'I don't like it and I am not going to do it.'  I thought about it a bit more and decided to try it.  Then I looked back at the comments on Sharon B's blog and saw that I had tried it last time and really liked it.  Interesting.  I stitched it on handmade paper.  Eventually, I will have enough of these pieces to put them into a book form.

I, too, sometimes think a stitch is new to me and then find out that I have used it, and liked it, before.
Don't you think that mood and what we are 'into' at the time influences us.
Let's say you are spending a lot of time and attention on dyeing fabric and thread. At that time embroidery is not high on your list and you can't recall if you have seen or worked this stitch before.
If, on the other hand you are working hard on embroidery, then you are all eyes for new stitches but not interested in new dyeing techniques.
I hope you will give Half Chevron a new look and have fun with it. It looks good in a circle.
