Work in Progress Wednesday

Learning and using up bits and pieces. I have not learned to do free motion quilting and therefore need to practice.  I put together lots of little scraps as I love to upcycle. Then I tried free motion quilting over this.  It doesn't look like anything really but at least I wasn't concerned about ruining a piece of good fabric.   I actually think that I can use this as a journal cover.

    Wasn't it difficult to stitch over all those raw edges? Did you use a net to cover them all before you started stitching?
    The result is nice.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
