Work in Progress Wednesday
This is my six-inch square block for the guild challenge. Our guild is focusing on concepts this year. That leaves it pretty wide open. This month the topic is vision. I looked up the Latin for 'go big' and wrote that on the piece. I am encouraging myself to look at my future in bigger ways.

This is really going to sound stupid but I have been playing with ideas in my head, too much time to think. When you say you wrote on the piece, you wrote on it to add to the design correct and what did you use? Will the piece be laundered and if so how does the medium hold up through laundering?
ReplyDeleteHi Angela, your block is very very different and I LOVE IT! It Reminds me of a artist in Germany who painted like this, to me I see a very very cold cold winters morning so still you can hear the ice cracking? You sure are pushing your self to work out side the box and then even further!!! Looking forward to seeing where this takes you. Keep having fun and challenging yourself. Cheers Glenda.
ReplyDeleteFantastic colours
ReplyDeleteThis is a great piece of 'suggestive' art - you can sit and look at this for ages and see how the scene changes, or you can look at it every day and see something new. Thank you for giving me a broad vision.
ReplyDeleteDenise, I used an Inktense pencil to write on this piece. Inktense is permanent however this piece will not be laundered.
ReplyDeleteFascinating piece - I like how you have several different elements in it, but they all tie together.
