Guild Challenge

Our six-inch challenge for January is the theme of music.  This is what I have so far.  I am honestly not sure where I am going with this.  I applied scraps of music paper to my fabric and I have added some paint.  Very mixed media.  I feel like there should be stitching.  It was a nice distraction to play with this for a few minutes.  I was hoping that a solution for my installation would magically appear while distracting myself.  The installation is being installed one week from today.  Things are really coming together but there is still work to do.  Better get at it!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
