Journal Page

This journal has a sweet old fashioned feel to it.  Most often I go for vibrant colour in my work.  Every so often though I feel the need to work with the soft and romantic.  This journal is full of lace and doilies, old handkerchiefs and ribbons.  It feels like such a lovely place for my found poetry to land.

    It is important to experiment, it is important to try things that at first don't feel like 'me', e.g. if you are working with commission you need to make things that the receiver will like. And then one day you will think 'since then (I have) find my way'
    You do romantic very well, as well as those colourful sparkly things, Angela.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
