Journal Page

Sorry, no words on this journal page.  It is busy enough.  The base for the page is a hand embroidered quilt block that I inherited.  I love these quilt blocks that have been so lovingly stitched.  I have quite a few of them and I am trying to figure out ways to use them.  I can't see myself ever stitching them all together into a large quilt.  Smaller projects make more sense to me.

    What a beautiful page!
    I think you are right, these do not belong on a large quilt, there would be too much to see so you don't see anything. How about framed art?

    Larger projects always takes time. Surely smaller projects gives a great sense of satisfaction. Nice embroidery in the base fabric.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
