Work in Progress Wednesday

I started this piece last month as my bead journal project for the month but got distracted from it.  I have resurrected it for my April bead journal project.  It is coming along alright.  I am not loving the big pink beads.  I think they are too large and need to come off.

Oh, I think the large pink beads add a strong counterpoint to the center area. They are also useful in creating an edge to the piece.

Or you could quiet them down a bit by stitching a cross right over them, or use them with shisha stitch... I quite like them...

The beads add interest to me and as Queenie said perhaps a few stitches over them could help you like them better.

I like this! I would probably add some black thread around the stencil appliques to make them really pop.

Slow Stitching Sunday

 Working on another wool mandala.  It is a pleasure to have the wool on my lap now that the weather has turned colder.  I started this project back in the summer and didn't enjoy working on it so much then.  I wonder if I can complete this project this winter.  There are fifteen wool mandalas to do.  It doesn't seem likely that I will.  I could be wrong.  I don't want to put any undue pressure on myself.  There is no deadline.  The spring might be cool enough to continue working on it.   My but I do jump into the future.  Slow stitching really helps me to be present.  I am so grateful that stitching is such a balm for my soul.  We all need to have something that does that for us.   I am linking to https://kathysquilts.blogspot.com/
