Water

I am still playing with my water series.  Here I have used a rubbing template and oil sticks on silk.  That is the first layer.  Second, I used a shell slice and oil stick to create another layer.  I am not sure if this one is finished.  It may need another layer.

    When you say oil stick, do you mean a kind of crayon? Do you need a hot iron to set the colours?

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
