Water

I pieced together three of my surface-treated fabrics.  I wrapped a pipe cleaner in some funky yarn and stitched it down.  I then added a bit of sparkle paint to infer water ripples.  Working on this series is good.  I used to think that working in a series was not the least bit interesting.  Odd how much I disagree with that thought now.

    Funny how working in a series sounds boring, until you start working in series and discover how seductive tweaking this or trying that can be. Love the idea of covering a pipe cleaner with yarn, then couching it down.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
