Take a Stitch Tuesday

So good to start the new year off with being able to participate in Take a Stitch Tuesday.  I am so grateful for Sharon B and her commitment to stitching.  I really enjoyed doing the Linked Chain Stitch.  I tried to use it in unusual ways.  I think the pink wasn't all that unusual but an interesting way to make flower petals.  The purple stitches I added a pistil stitch to end it and like the combination.

    Hi Angela, I love Take a Stitch Tuesday. I was following more off than on last year but it's such a great resource that I'm going to keep following and hopefully learn a few more stitches. I love the way that she shows us how to use stitches in different ways. Your linked chain stitches are lovely.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
