Fabric/Paper Collage

Vintage isn't my typical style/colour palette but I do like it.  I am having a lot of fun with these little collages and look forward to putting them all together into some sort of book.  These little collages have got only one positive comment.  Thank you, Collete, for your affirming words! I don't make my art for other people so positive comments are not totally necessary.  However, right now maybe I am feeling more vulnerable or less confident, just not quite myself.  Understandable for sure.  Anyway, the one positive comment has gone a long way to strengthening my resolve to continue down this collage path.  It really only matters that I like them.

I will comment... it's beautiful, balanced, interesting and the quote is intriguing... what do you mean... what does it mean to you...what does it tell us about you?
I loved your vulnerability here too... I feel unsettled, and nervous, which leaks over into my art of course. We are at war in a sense, and personal work comes out of war time for artists. We can't help but put our feelings into our art.

Thanks Lee Anna!  I appreciate your comment.  I am not totally sure what my quote means.  The words just came together for me in a pleasing manner.  I think I am more interested in letting people find their own meaning in them.  What does it say about me?  I think it speaks to my being a deeply spiritual person.    Not sure if that makes sense!I am sorry that you are feeling so nervous and unsettled.  Amazingly, that is not how I am feeling.  Well, maybe unsettled.  I am accustomed to having a fair amount of time to myself but my son and granddaughter are living with us as my DIL is a nurse.  Juniper requires a fair amount of attention/ my care as my son is working on his Master's degree right now.  I truly require time alone and am not getting much of that so I am just not quite myself.  Don't get me wrong, I love Juniper and we are having fun together..
I think vulnerability is becoming easier for me.  Certainly, not my natural way of being though!  Still, I am learning to trust there are kind people in this world.

This is a time of unrest and confusion. We have to adjust to the situation, and try to be strong. This is when creativity becomes more important than ever. You need your outlet and have to continue creating.
Your collage is beautiful, balanced and crisp. As for the quote, like the collages with words you made in the past, I think it is up to the person looking at your art to interpret it.
On purpose (?) you put in a line break between 'he was commissioned to' and 'eternity'. So it could be interpreted as 'the guardian angel has been appointed to escort you to paradise' or 'it is the doctor's call to look after you for a long time, until you are well again'.
To me the quote shows there is something good at the end of the LONG tunnel.
So enjoy spending time with your granddaughter, but insist on plenty of 'me time'.
All the best

Cute! I can't wait to see how you put these all together. Great way to use up scraps and found things. Thanks for the inspiration today.
