Putting some positivity out there

I have created some fun word banners and hung them in the tree in front of my house.  This has been a really fun project for me.  I have had a number of positive comments on it.  I have seen people walking by and smiling as they read the words.  I am hoping this is as uplifting for the viewers as it has been for me creating it.

    This reminds me of the Tanaba festival in Japan. It is celebrated on July 7th and paper slips with wishes written on them are hung from branches of bamboo.
    It is a good way to make people stop, read and find joy!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
