Finished and complete


I made this mixed media mandala a while back.  It had been sitting in a pile of work that was done to my liking but not totally finished.  In doing some tidying this week I came across a wood panel and realized it was the perfect size for this.  For a long time, I was thinking that my mandala pieces had to be 'quilts'.  Well, why?  Why not finish them off in the manner that best suits them?  If a wood panel works for mounting why not use it?

    There are many ways to finish our work. This is a good solution for a beautiful mandala.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
