Work in Progress Wednesday


 I have been puzzling over how to depict a rainbow for my book.  Yesterday, this idea popped into my head.  I got out some silver mesh and used permanent markers to colour it.  Silver mesh gives it an ethereal quality that I was hoping to achieve.  Sorry about the quality of the photo.  We have a brand new puppy and he thought this might be something with which to play tug of war!!  I had to snap the photo and call it good enough.

I can imagine he is going to make a great studio mate. Right now he has helped me clean everything off the floor of my studio as my art supplies a bit more interesting than his toys.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
