Slow Stiching Sunday

I think this mandala is finished now.  The large beads and sequins I used don't seem quite right for the small size of this hoop.  Not the end of the world.  Not everything mandala is a masterpiece and I am okay with that.  The point of stitching a mandala is meditation and peace.  Maybe I need more of that than the average bear.  I suspect I do.

Angela, I think you might not be the only who needs a little more meditation and peace at the moment. I suspect the world is in need of these things. I think your Mandala is lovely. I rather like the bigger beads around the border. They cause the eyes to be drawn into the centre. Love those pretty leaves.

We could all do with some meditation and peace and you're right stitching definitely gives me that.

I love your Mandala it's beautiful and drawers the eye to want to look closer. I find my hand embroidery to be quite meditative and calming and I try to do it daily, not always possible but even a few stitches helps me unwind.

Somehow, I think we all need meditation and peace right now. Your mandala is very pretty.

The point is that you need to enjoy the making of the mandala, not put pressure on yourself to create a 'masterpiece'.
I agree with Kim, many more ought to make mandalas and calm down...

Interesting way to meditate, love the use of the little bits and pieces which creates the bigger picture. Have an awesome week.
Very pretty and creative! Stitching is solace.
