Embroidered Landscape

This cheery little landscape is a joy to work on as the days are short and grey.  As usual, I have a number of projects on the go.  This one is primarily to use up the last bits of thread on a needle.  I also enjoy trying out new stitches or practising ones I haven't done in a while.  I enjoy seeing it progress but I am in no hurry to finish it.  It is truly a slow stitching project.

  1. It's a good idea to have a 'scribble cloth' or sampler where you can park those orts. I usually put my thread ends in a little box, but why not have a piece of fabric where detached stitches can be worked? If the fabric is a beautiful landscape like yours it will be a flowering meadow in no time - or worked in slow motion.... No need to hurry....

  2. That piece is full of sunshine. The color and exuberance are so uplifting.

  3. Hi Angela, that's cute. It's great to have a piece that you can practice on instead of just using a random piece of cloth. Enjoy the process :-)
