Slow Stitching Sunday

This mandala has been a bit of a struggle.  It is one of four that I had considered sewing together into a small quilt.  This one was causing problems though.  It was not centred very well on the square and it would not have looked very good with the others.  Kind of wonky.  So the decision was made to put each of them in hoops as that works the best.  This one wouldn't fit into a hoop properly though because it was off-centre.  So I cut it out and applied it to another piece of cloth.  Unfortunately, I wasn't paying close attention to the base fabric in the hoop.  It was not lined up very well and so again this is a bit wonky!  It isn't horrible and I can live with it.  Sometimes things just want to be wonky no matter what you do!  It feels good to have another finished

Oh, I don't know, every now and then a little bit wonky is a wonderful thing. =) So much pretty details and jewels....bits and bobs in this mandala.

Great finish. Sometimes wonky is best! I frequently have wonky. Happy stitching and hope you have a great week!

If you turn the photo a 1/4 turn to the left, with the silver leaves coming from the top instead of the right, it looks perfect! Beautiful!
So much pretty color, buttons, and stitches on this one! The wonkiness doesn't matter one bit.

If you hadn't pointed it out, I would not have noticed the wonkiness. I was just enjoying all the pretty fabric colors.

There is so much going on in this mandala that you don't notice if it is wonky or not. I love the 'spill over' look!
