I like
As a child, we had a cottage in the Muskokas that we went to often in the summer. It was a beautiful area. There was a massive raspberry patch that nature created. Yum, loved eating those raspberries! There are mostly fond memories of the place and most likely where I developed my deep love of nature. There was a lot of wildlife to be seen bunnies, chipmunks, rattlesnakes and bears! Mostly the bears could be seen at the dump and not near the cottage. Thankfully!
This weekend we are renting a cottage on Lake Huron. The whole family is going and we are all quite excited about it. We have been wanting to do this for a number of years and it has finally come together. The hope is that we all really like the cottage and we can do this on a regular basis for years to come. I suspect the week will fly by quickly.
I like dogs and dogs like me. This is not a flattering photo of me but it is cute that both the dogs wanted to snuggle near me. Whistler, the husky belongs to my son. He and Banksy have loads of fun together. Recently, a friend suggested I sign up with Rover.com to host dogs in my home. I am excited to start but won't be taking any bookings until we return from the cottage.
Thanks as always to Lee Anna for hosting I Like Thursdays. It is good to stop and think about the lovely things that we like
What nice memories you have! I hope you have a nice time this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI also have fond memories from the summers of my childhood. We had a yacht and moved around the archipelago - visiting one island after another, always near nature with fishing, climbing trees, sunbathing and swimming.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful vacation with your family and that it becomes an annual treat.
Raspberry picking can be so hot and prickly, but I love the rewards! Those look like comfy pups! :-)
