I Like

The prompt this week was for pumpkin recipes.  Sorry, I just don't have any.  I really don't use pumpkins.  I don't even carve a pumpkin for Halloween.  At least not now that the kids are grown.

I did want to join LeeAnna and the gang to post about what I like though.  I took a few moments to look outside my kitchen window this morning.  My giant maple is shedding its yellow leaves right now.  Watching the leaves flutter down with the perfect blue sky backdrop was lovely.    To stand there and breathe deeply and enjoy the simple beauty was something I like very much!  I am a very simple woman.

I like starting new projects.  Who doesn't?  This one is extra fun for me because I am using some of my hand-dyed threads.  They are bright and cheerful and perfect for this project.  I am enjoying using them.

I also like that I persevered with hosting/boarding dogs.  This week has been busy with pups and they have all been friendly.  Banksy enjoys having a playmate and is getting very well-socialized.  He was born during covid.  That means people were always given a safe distance on walks. It has kind of messed up dogs.  Plus all the anxiety in the air has had an effect on him and other dogs.   I like that we are actively changing things for him.  I get to love on lots of dogs too!

Those are beautiful threads! I'm looking forward to seeing what you stitch with them. I love standing outside on a beautiful fall day, watching the trees, and breathing deeply, too. Here in Colorado it's snowing this evening! I'm glad your dog adventures are going well!

I like your photo of the richly colorful threads. That’s pretty cool you dyed them yourself.

Bless you for blessing the puppies.
I enjoy sharing your happy life. Thank you
Your hand dyed threads are beautiful. Such vibrant color. Covid was so disruptive to everyone. Glad to hear things are getting better!
