I Like

The prompts this week were about Thanksgiving since so many that participate in this I Like blog post are from the US.  Thanks to LeeAnna for hosting this and coming up with such great prompts.  I don't have much to add to the discussion in the way of Thanksgiving recipes and such.  I am rarely the one who hosts the holidays.

So I will talk about how much I like doing art with a lovely group of seniors.  Today we worked on a collaboration of tessellations.  It truly was a collaboration and delightfully so.  There are so many varying abilities in this group.  I watched one sharp-as-a-tack participant help another who was struggling.  Actually, there were two such examples of this.  It really touched my heart to see these women be so generous and kind.  They were thrilled with their results and so am I.

I love taking the time to think about how good people can be.  There are a lot of small acts of kindness happening all the time.  Of course, that sort of thing doesn't make the news.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating it next week.  I hope it is lovely for all of you.

That is a beautiful tesselation, Angela! How lovely that you helped some seniors make that, and saw them help each other, too.

I fully agree with you that we don't notice the good deeds as much as evil actions. They always make the headlines.
It is nice to see others help each other and be inspired to do good oneself.

Tessellation is new to me. I’ll have to look it up. The piece is beautiful and for it to be a group piece, admirable!
