Mandala Monday

My solo show of mandalas is less than two weeks away.  There is not a lot left for me to do and that feels good.  I can play with my mixed-media mandalas just for fun.  Not that all the other mandalas I have created weren't fun.  That's for sure.

I never dreamed that I would create as many mandalas as I have.  Nor did I think it would result in a solo show when I started on this path.  It is interesting how one thing leads to another. Staying focused on one subject for so long is not generally how I work.  It is remarkable that my multitude of ideas can fit/work with mandalas.

I was asked what I will do with all these mandalas after the show.  Would I sell them?  I honestly have no idea.  I am not sure why anyone would want to buy one.  For sure some of them are truly beautiful but they would need to be framed and I am not interested in doing that.  But what else to do with them?  They can be stored until the right idea/opportunity comes along.

I think making them was the point.
