Slow Stitching Sunday

I did some stitching on this wool-based mandala.  I loved adding the beads.  I definitely want to add some more.  I used some wool tapestry yarn on this and I am not fond of it.  I think the same thing every time I use it.  It is time for me to pass along the collection of wool thread that I have.  I am never happy with the way it looks.  When I have a supply I feel obligated to use it so best to send it on its way.

The colours I have used on this mandala aren't really singing to me.  I will ponder what is needed to make this better.  It does look good on the background I placed it on for the photo but that is not where it will ultimately live.

Lovely piece. I found that some wool thread I used on a primitive project actually disintegrated and I need to stitch it again.
I didn't know there was such a thing as wool thread! It's definitely hard to work with a thread that you don't like. I had that happen with a metallic embroidery floss - not sure I will ever use it again!

Have you ever heard of the Japanese organising guru Marie Kondo? She always says you should keep things that 'give you a spark of joy' and get rid of those items that don't. Maybe there is not spark of joy in wool for you? Then pass it on to someone else.
Don't forget to keep the beads! THEY spark joy, don't they?
