Mandala Monday


 It has been a long time since I have posted a mandala from my watercolour journal, if ever.  I am not normally a big fan of orange but I like the use of it here.  My mandalas are limitless fun.  The ideas keep coming to me and I keep making them.  

There are times when I wonder what is the point.  But there are times when I wonder that very thing about all my art.  Is it enough that it just gives me peace and joy?  I think so, I just forget that at times.

The orange goes so well with the cooler colours in the Mandala.
As for the meaning of stitching, think about it like this: If you DIDN'T create something every day, how would you feel? You would feel empty and irritated, joyless and frustrated. You NEED to let out your creative ideas. So there is ALWAYS meaning in the work.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
