Slow Stitching Sunday


 I took my scrappy scroll pages along on our holiday.  I did not do much stitching but I was glad I brought it along.  I forced myself to spend some time looking out the window on our drive.  Driving through the mountainous area was beautiful but also terrifying to me.  On the return drive, I just buried my head into my stitching.  I was so much more relaxed!

There is still loads more to do on these little pages.  I have to remember to leave space at the top and bottom for the seams.  I bought some beads while in Sedona and it feels like an appropriate idea to use some of them on these pieces.  I will save that for the end though.

I am caught up on your posts, Angela. These fabric collage pieces of yours are so wonderful and interesting. I wish I had the creativity to make them too. I get stymied when I have to make a decision on my own. Enjoy your process which I'm sure you are doing.

I buried myself in my stitching as we were driving through LA and on the Grapevine last week. It is too scary otherwise!

There are some sights that I love to look at in a car, but mountain roads are not one of them. I would have buried my head in a craft or a book also. Those pages are pretty.

Driving through mountainous roads with all the bends can be scary. I hope you had a lovely vacation. How nice you were able to play with your scrappy scrolls along the way.

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
