Work in Progress Wednesday

I just watched a Dale Rollerson video on YouTube.  She is so very clever.  She used a gossamer fusible web to apply mica powders to the fabric.  The idea was just exactly what I needed for this piece.  I have added mica powders to the sun area of this landscape and I like it.  The rest of the sky still needs work.  Possibly I will add some gold mica powder to it.

The rolling hills seem so flat to me.  I am not sure how to address that problem.  I do wish I had got the background more to my liking before adding the embroidery.  It is a bit tricky to deal with it now.  Oh well, I am always up for a challenge.

Comments

  1. The mica powder must be magic dust - it worked a wonder.

  2. Looks cool. I'd be interested to see what the mica powder would look.
