I Like

I like having my sweet hubby home after being away for a couple of days.  He doesn't have to travel for work very often.  I like it when he goes away though.  It is my opportunity to not cook.  I always try to have some leftovers available.  I often treat myself to having chips and dip for dinner at least once!  I know, I know I shouldn't eat so poorly!  But it is a fun treat.  I had so many leftovers available this time that I did not imbibe.  Next time!

Hubby and I are big Star Trek fans.  I just learned that a new series is starting tomorrow.  I am excited to watch it!  Michelle Yeoh was amazing in Star Trek Discovery.  Here is the write-up

Star Trek: Section 31

Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, Emperor Philippa Georgiou ( Michelle Yeoh) also must face the sins of her past.

I just finished watching the Miss Marple series on Brit Box.  I love that an older woman was being portrayed in a positive light.  Sharp as a tack!

Our reno is moving forward.  I am so excited to get it done!  My dear DIL was concerned about how we would furnish the bedroom.  She suggested a trundle bed so that there would be room for the grandkids to sleep over.  I started going down that path in agreement with her.  However, I have changed my mind.  We already have one spare bedroom that does not get used all that often.  Why would I want another?

What I really want is a room where I can do some yoga.  A room that has a door and space.  The door because I am not into puppy yoga!  Banksy thinks if I am on the floor then I am there for him.  I love him and give him loads of love.  I just don't want to do a downward dog with a dog in my face.

  1. I like eating leftovers, too - whether my husband is here or not, lol! We're Star Trek fans at our house, too - glad to know there's something new out to watch. Michelle Yeoh is good in Wicked also!

  2. My favorite Miss Marple is Joan Hickson. Good luck with the reno!

  3. Your home is YOUR home, and you should decide how to use the rooms. Yes, it is a good idea to take exercise in a pet-free place. You don't want to step on a doggy who has sneaked up on you, you don't want to drop a barbell on your beloved pet...
    Good luck with the renovations.
It is nice to hear you give yourself a bit of slack in the kitchen when your husband is away.

  4. What? No dog yoga? Lol! My daughter enjoyed goat yoga with some friends once. I find that silly but maybe that was the idea. My Grandma once fed my cousin & me chips and dip for breakfast after we slept over. We did have fresh-squeezed OJ for a little bit of healthy goodness. Haha! Hope you get that yoga room with your renovation.
