what was your favorite subject in school... elementary, high school, or college... or did your favorite subject change over time? what was the teacher like? do you still have an interest in that subject?

ART, always ART.  Each year in high school, we had three different teachers.  There was a ceramics teacher, a printmaking teacher and a painting teacher.  I enjoyed ceramics and printmaking the most in terms of art.  Those two teachers were okay.  The painting teacher was lovely.  She always talked to us like we were actual people, not just students.  

I like walking in my neighbourhood.  I like that the bitter cold has departed.  I am a bit concerned for this ice sculpture now that it is warming up a bit.  You can see containers in the background.  I think they are planning to add to this art piece.  I hope it works out for them.  I will walk by it today with a friend to check on it.

I like to travel some place warm in the winter.  I was disappointed that our trip to Cuba was cancelled.  We were supposed to leave this Saturday.  Our carrier cancelled the flight last week.  I am the sort of person who always looks for the silver lining.  The dream of going helped us get through the bitterly cold weeks of winter.  We got a full refund so it isn't the end of the world.
