Princess Bubbles Creates

Sharon B at  http://pintangle.com/  teaches us how to do the Feathered Chain stitch this week.  It is super easy.  I feel like I should have done something more inventive with it since it was so easy for me.  Don`t you hate the word should!  I used it to cover another seam join on my crazy quilt.  That quilt has most of the block seams done now.  Soon I am going to have to face the fact I will have to finish it with a back and binding.  I really don`t enjoy that part of the process.  I have another finished top sitting at my machine waiting for the same thing.  I am finding it difficult to work up the courage to do it.

I am joining Laura at http://www.shinethedivinecreativityisaspiritualpractice.com/ again this week.  She has such a beautiful blog.  My macro photo this week is a piece of punchenella or sequin waste laid on top of a CD and lit by a fluorescent bulb.   I had a lot of fun playing with this!

Last week Sharon B at  http://pintangle.com/  taught how to do the Zig Zag Coral Stitch.  It looks a bit complicated but it really isn't.  I am looking forward to learning the beaded version!

I feel the longing to play with my camera more.  I truly do love macro.  Since I bought my macro lens I think it has been on my camera 90% of the time. This is an image of a dead rose.  It dried so nicely.  I have a bit of a fascination with decayed things.  Mind you they still have to pretty! This is my start on my second art bra for the auction this fall.  It certainly doesn't look like much at this point.  Actually, it looks a bit tacky!  Really the gold and silver trims and fabrics are just there for background.  I plan on loading on beads and jewels.  I will be calling it Treasure Chest.  Don't you just love it?
