I love playing with texture




















This book I made specifically to play with texture.  I used cheese cloth, paint and Liquitex glass beads gel.  I really love the glass beads.  They are quite pretty and easy with which to work.





This is the inside of the cover.  It is just painted matt board.











This one of the pages.  Each page is an envelope that opens.  The envelope is made from a 12 x 12 sheet of scrapbook paper.  There are six pages total.

    Great book cover! I'm visiting from the yahoo mmart group. I'm looking forward to learning all about the mixed media stuff using Kellie's book! So much to try out and learn!

Slow Stitching Sunday

  I am on a scroll roll.  This is the second one I started this week.  I love the soft romantic feel of these pieces.  I love working with bright and cheerful colours but occasionally I have to play with a different set of colours.   These scrolls are coming together faster than I thought they would.  That also feels good.   Sometimes I need a project that can be completed quickly.
