I am published!!!!!

I created a beach journal and posted about it at the beginning of August.  I had submitted it to Sue Bleiweiss for consideration in her book pictured above.  When I posted about it I thought that my book had not been accepted to be included her book.  The very next day I got the acceptance email.  Now, today I have the book in my hot little hands!  I am completely over the moon excited about being published!

Rejoice with me!  Having my artwork accepted for publication means that someone else likes my work.  It means I am not a complete hack.  It means that I'm not the only one who thinks my work is beautiful.  Oh happy day I can tell the inner critic to shut up!

'Creative Ways with Books and Journals' by Sue Bleiweiss and Terri Stegmiller is a fabulous book.  I would say that even if I weren't in the gallery section.  I love that they used a size of type that is easy to read.  There are a number of techniques in the book that I can't wait to try.  The photography is bright and clear.  I am proud to be a part of the book.

you can tell your inner critic to pack her bags and never come back - your work is wonderful and don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise!

Angela, Your work is wonderful. I always enjoy clicking your blog link and seeing what pages you have done. I love your blog comment that says that since you were published you tell your inner critic to be quiet.
I can so relate to that. I have been published a couple of times. AND it helps a little bit with trying to keep that dang inner critic at bay for a little while.
I really like your blue pages with the gold text on there. I wish I could see your work in person. I am sure I would give your inner critic a talking to!
